mARYLING lifestyle cafe
The concept of Café and Lifestyle store is matching the existing design of Maryling’s retail store by developing the signature theme of curved texture engraved on Plexiglas background panels. Adhesive tape containing ultra thin LED disks is applied along the side of the panel to dramatically highlight the curved engraved texture as this theme is defined to articulate the feature wall displaying the life-style goods. The engraved panel is eventually cut following the new texture to end up looking a curtain wrapped by the side to open up and reveal in theatrical fashion the goods on display.
The feeling of the rest of the café is about creating a continuity with the alfresco area by giving to the interior space an outdoor-ish theme thanks to an extensive presence of green and the use of the same outdoor furniture used outside. In a age of crisis of classic retail spaces because of the success of on line shopping, commercial spaces are becoming obsolete. Maryling by associating retail spaces to lifestyle store and hospitality area is tying to overcome the problem by diversifying the commercial offer and inject excitement to the design discourse.
